BLUE LEADER'S XTERRA HOMEPAGE





Hi, my name is Lory, also known as Blue Leader. In August, 1999, I ordered a 2000 Nissan Xterra SE with automatic transmission, in Denim Blue, but before it arrived, my 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser died. Fortunately, Mossy Nissan in Escondido, CA, had an Xterra almost exactly like I wanted in stock. The one exception was that it had a 5-speed manual transmission. I took delivery of this Xterra on Sept. 17, 1999, at almost $1,000 below MSRP.

In the little more than a year of use, I have averaged 17.1 MPG, with a high of 19.3 MPG (freeway driving @ 55 MPH), and a low of 11.9 MPG (while towing my trailer into the mountains). This is after driving 27,246 miles, and using 1,528 gallons of gasoline (plus or minus a couple of tankful's).
